Eventful Nite : Spirited Way of spending a Nite

Last to last Saturday, 19th April to be exact, I spent the nite aka "Jim Carey Saturday Nite" style. It all started with a serious thought among ourselves (me, my two roomies-Jazz & Sid- and one of our office friend- Raju) that because of our busy schedules we have not done any "chutiyapa" for long (daily routine of chutiyapas are not counted as such). We finally decided to go to Corner House in Carlton Towers, a place in Bangalore marked with the presence of so called sophosticated people. The plan was made in a nearby dhaba on dinner.

We returned to our house after dinner. The only person supposed to change the clothes was me as I was wearing a very casual t-shirt and a short half pant which is generally used by me for sleeping. And there started the argument which set the tone of nite. I convinced everyone to change to casual night dress kinda stuff for the outing. Shoes were replaced with slippers, jeans with 3/4ths, shirts with "Om" t-shirts, etc. On top of that we put on some cool funny stuffs used during the annual fashion show in our companywhich were brought specially for the IPL match. Though it was not allowed for the match by the police we used it on that eventful nite. Sequence of events that followed:

1. Parked the bikes behind carlton towers, got on the attires and entered the building. We could see every eye present there looking on directly or trying to see form the corner. They were not sure whether to laugh or to ignore but the dresses were were meant for the former. We believed one who doesn't laugh tonite he can't for his whole life.
2. While crossing TGIF, a waiter shouted from back "Sir.....very nice dress" giving us a thumbs up.
3. On the Corner House counter a small girl to his father "Papa, I am scared". Papa was himself busy in having his share of laugh.
4. While paying the money, a couple just behind us murmered "Are these guys coming from a fancy dress competition?". Sid replied "This is our way of having fun, you can join too".
5. At the table I was trying to control the hairy stuff on my hat. A lady closeby quizzed "If you are not bale to mange your long hairs why don't you use hair band?". The reply was "This is for the first time for me, why don't you help me out?"
6. Every kid's eyes were so much focussed on us that the kid was no longer interested in his ice cream.
7. We had a long photo session in the central location of the place amusing most of the people out there.
8. The person who clicked us asked "Where are you people from? Have you people been set by the authorites here for some promotion?". The reply was- "Did you smiled on seeing us?". He nodded. "That's what we are here for. It brings smiles to our faces too". The chutiyapa outing transformed a bit philosophical out there.
9. Next we went to Brigade Road.On the way, We decided to thank everyone who smiles on seeing us.
10. On MG Road there was a big jam making us the centre of attraction for everyone waiting on the red light. There were kids clapping, people smiling, auto wallahs laughing and people pointing us to each other. This became more explicit once I raised myself on the back seat of the bike to check Jazz's bike. A girl in an auto just behind us "Is that a girl?". The moment I turned she immediately responded "oh my god!! he is a guy". I smiled and turned back.
11. On brigade road, a girl with her BF smiled while crossing us. We all shouted "Thank You" which made her bewildered- "for what?"
12. Sid danced with few road side children out there. They were after our stylish hats.
13. While coming back the same girl passed us once more but this time it was she who said "Thank you" and we responded with a "Welcome."
14. An auto wallah at MG brigade juction- "Inhe kaha se chodh diya hai? (From where they have been left off?)"
15. Another drunk auto wallah- "India is great." We replied "Angrezo bharat chodo(Englishmen leave our country), Inquilab Jindabaad " (they have already left 60+ years ago) and had a photo session with them.
16. We met few of my college juniors in front of Empire Hotel where we paused for half an hour. We were havng first experience of that place in nite. So many girls were being brought to the lodge just in front of us. All kinda combinations were present- 1 girl & 3 boys; 4 girls & 1 boy; 1 girl & 1 boy, etc. A pair whom we thought to be a couple ended up in a girl accompanied by her pimp.
17. Meanwhile 3/4 girls arrived in a Maruti Swift on the other side of the road. They started shouting "I like that cap, please come over here....please please once" as if they require it for their orgasm. When we had started we never thought of encountering such a situation. They must have been too hot to handle for the only guy with them.
18. When we were finally coming back on the church street, 3/4 fully drunk guys caught us and got sentimental.
"This cap is too good",
"I love this cap"
"I love sardarjee" considering Jazz a one of the fashion designers.
"I love dilliwaalahs" and many more. For one of them Jaipur and Rajkot were kind of rhyming words- I don't know how? They clicked photos with us. One of them got too senti to have a photograph with the hat I was wearing.
19. At last while returning we saw a Lamborghini.

The whole nite was filled with many more intersting incidents. And everyone who heared about our eventful nite doubted our sanity.

P.S: This world is really a small place. When I sent the photographs to one of my friends he immediately recognized those 3/4 drunk guys as they were his collegemates.

Two new dreams....

  1. I have entered some restricted zone of South Block (Administrative building of Indian Govt, a highly secured area) in New Delhi in search of someone whom I really don't know just because of inquisitiveness, which I generally have for most of the things that generally doesn't bother a more sane person. While coming out I am checked for my ID which I don't have. And so I am immediately send to the nearest police station. There at the police station after some interrogation I saw someone who I know very closely and thus started hiding my face. At last I am able to save my face by waking up to realize its 9'O clock on Sunday morning, so I can sleep for at least an hour more. But the dream didn't resumed after the break!!
  2. I am back to college and preparing something which I am very best at- MM (Won two consecutive 1st prizes for it). And the concern is that it is scheduled in the evening and I have started it only in the morning (it used to take at least 10-12 days of full practice to get things right). Thus working under huge pressure to deliver something which I am known for. Again sunlight came to rescue to make me realize its 8'0 clock in the morning and I already had more than 10hrs of sleep. Time to wake up!

I don't Know

I have been thinking to start so many things for so long now. But started only one of them-once , that too not very seriously. The time in office and non seriousness are primary responsible for it.

My daily routine-

08:30 - "Wake Up Nishant"
09:30 - "You are in office Nishant-Work"
10:00 - "Hey Nishant- Breakfast"
10:45 - "Hey come on, work now"
12:15 - "Hey everbody, coming for tea" "Have been waiting for it"
12:30 - "Resume Work"
13:30 - "Hey working hard, time for lunch"
14:30 - "Hey its long time, need to switch back to work"
16:00 - "Tea time again boys"
16:15 - "DeadLine approaching, speed up the tempo"
18:00 - "Snacks time"
18:30 - "Need to complete up things, back to desk"
20:00- "Eyes are no longer supporting, from tomorrow will not work for so long "
20:30- "Dinner Time"

*Having all three-bf, lunch and dinner- in 12 hrs and then for next 12hrs- nothing.

21:30- "Bakar Time"

23:00- "Sleep, Lot of work in office"

Sorry for this blog. Bored of work, so for time paas dotted this one.

Dreams: I really dreamed!!

I am having few weird dreams for last few weeks. Though its really difficult to remember them all but few of them I have tried here to reminisce.
  • I was sitting along with so many people around me. But I was the only one able to feel rotation of earth- it felt like earth was literally slipping off my feet. It made me feel as in I am going to fall of earth into infinite space. Also, someone in US is chatting at the same time on messenger with me but because of the effect of rotation I am not able to type things correctly.
  • There is a big mirror in the sky where I can see the reflection of the whole American continent (Few days before this dream I had an idea of putting a big mirror in the sky so that the during the night time sun light is reflected back converting nights into days). Plus, I am able to see light traveling from mirror to my place. And once it reaches my eye then I am able to see that image in the mirror (truly world class imagination!!).
  • I am at a place somewhere near my hometown. There I met some guy. He told me I met him at some place(which I am sure in the dream that it exists). I recognized him immediately but this time he was with his wife(whom i haven't met in the past. and she looked like a Mallu converted to Christianity). He told he can meet me anytime and gave his mobile number.
From here scene of dream changes and now I at my home. I had a vibration feeling in my pocket. When I checked it there was some very fundoo, eye catchy yellow-black mobile in my pocket which I haven't seen anywhere before. It had received a SMS-"I met u yesterday with my wife, Instead of giving you my mobile no, I gave u my mobile itself. Please return it to my wife".I searched his wife name, S***(I have forgotten it now, but I remembered it earlier when I told my friends about my dream) in the phonebook, but it was not there. After that I was so disturbed in sleep- how to return this mobile? At last I woke up.
  • One of my college friend here in my office comes up with a problem that the most beautiful girl in our office is always behind him and not letting him go anywhere(yeah thats his problem!!) .(Few days ago I was surprised to see both of them together at a public function of our office)
  • I wanted to go to toilet in my office but I was unable to find it on any of the floors. At last I found one open air toilet on the ground floor where on entering the scene became unbearable to me. There are no urinals and people were just using it like a roadside thing with everyone peeing on walls itself(color was full yellowish and greenish).
  • I am in a building where Koreans have captured few people and one of them is a small girl. I got them run from the place. My dream went on for I don't how much of time, but in the whole dream I kept on running with them-forests, jumping walls, climbing mountain slopes, sliding snow falls, etc. It ended when I reached my hometown kinda place though it was not my hometown.
I remembered few more but now I am not able to remember them while writing this post. I don't know whether its my imagination which is doing so much of work or am I not mentally at peace. But all through my life I have been having so many weird dreams and few of them- ghostly, gore, friendly, humorous etc- have stuck in my memory for forever.

Unique or First time Experiences!!

I am going to complete 1 and 1/2 years of my stay here in Bangalore in few days, 13th Jan to be exact. These 18 months have been marked some first time and unique experience of my life- enough to be listed in a post.
  • Live -In is not a big thing nowadays. But to leave your room for the sake of Live-In for your friend is indeed a unique experience for anyone. And yeah mind u that I stayed in the dining hall of the same house. And here comes the surprise- the girl was not just any girl but a Brazilian coming all alone from Brazil just for the sake of my good friend. The girl was awesome to be friend with and for those 2 months our rented house became a home for the first time. Breakfast at home; clean each and every corner of the house even bathrooms; snacks while watching movies at home; there were so many things that she was the one to be responsible for. Watching hindi movies, mythological discussions (explaining so many hindu gods and goddesses, their incarnations and cricket are the most difficult things to explain) ,cricket, fights, compromises- there were so many things that happened.
  • Not many people will have an experience of getting into a Panga immediately after entering in the corporate life, and that too because of a girl. The reason was too ridiculous- an orkut thread on our bakait community hurting feelings of few people, a girl and two boys. But there were too many friends (especially HB) that I made over here in 2 months to take care of everything that came up. But it was really unique in a sense to have a fight in front of office reception with around 25 people for me, a pure college day fight. I wonder as in I didn't faced such a situation whole my life but ended up facing it at the start of corporate life. But it was too childish from the other end!!
  • 1st time Abroad experience for me. A 2 and 1/2 month stay in Suwon, korea was indeed an experience to cherish for a long time.
  • Watching a live cricket match for the first time in life in cricket ground. And that too a India-Pak test match. What to want more when there were already- a double century by Ganguly, century by Pathan, 6 sixes, Kumble' successful LBW appeal, Indian team's fielding, etc
  • Not many people would be having time to do the same kinda things, that they used to do in college, in their corporate life. But I am still able to continue the thing that i used to do with best of interests in college days. 4 skits doesn't sound too many but still a relief and refreshing change from the regular work. And yeah the prize money and treats for them are too big to compare with that of college days.
  • So many bike trips- Nandi Hills, MekeDatu, Hogenakkal (there are too many places to visit in an around bangalore)
  • Car Trips: Mysore, Skandhagiri
  • New friends: People make friends during school, college and then at the 3rd stage of corporate life. I knew many friends who went to different IITs and then made many friends at IITD. Then again here i had been enjoying company of so many friends from different IITs who joined along with me. Many of them started fresh for new destinies but few still here with me enjoying the days over here again and again.
  • After getting out from IITD, first time realized the importance of IIT and that sometimes do become a reason of frustration on seeing so many people around here whose sole aim was to reach the point where they are standing now. But journey also involved knowing so many non IITian talented, good people around here. (especially in the team to which i belong).
  • And after all these, there have been happening so many things on personal life end too.
May be I missed few others, but these 18 months have been eventful on one end and monotonous on the other. And that is how I guess life is supposed to be.
